Commercial suitability

Installing solar photovoltaic panels on any sort of commercial building can be the most profitable of all solar pv installations. Three phase installations benefit from economies of scale not available to domestic 4kWp installations.

Whether the installation in domestic or commercial, the ideal installation in on a southerly facing pitched roof without shade. Installation on flat roofs or on the ground are more expensive but not prohibitively so.

Commercial installations are subject to full 20% VAT not the reduced 5% level and the revenue is a taxable income for the business.
